You are going to like this one.... she is 5 ins 120 mm tall, and beautifully detailed...

Lynne, can you explain pin doll for us please? I've not heard this term before.  She is lovely, isn't she... I thought it was a pomander when I saw the holes. (I have a thing for pomanders!)

A pin or half doll was usually sewn onto either a powder puff or a pin cushion.  Hence the "pin" in the usual English name.  They would be sewn on using the three or four holes at the base. They can also be found on little clothes brushes.

Some of the simpler ones can be very inexpensive....but watch for modern fakes from Taiwan and China.  Like everything....
