Hi Eli:
Where does it say it was made on the bottom?  United States??  Is the bottom plastic, or metal?

I can see seams in the rubber boots.  Is there a Patent Number under the brace at the bottom?  Or a patent number anywhere on it (side)?

Let us know..

All it says that I can see is Made In US and Patent Pending. The base is plastic but that cross piece is metal. No marks that I can find. It's about 6 1/2" tall. Thanks for your help.

Just a note, that IF there was a patent number on it -- it is possible to DATE items.  Nothing on the edges...or anywhere on it at all?

Wonder if there might have been another piece to it, that might have said the more on it.  Can the Metal Cross piece be removed?  Wonder IF there *might* be something printed on it (on the side we can't see)...

Just a thought..... :)

Doubtful to have the number if it says Patent Pending, as that means there's an application in but no number has been allocated yet. Allocation takes place on patent award. This just warns others that a patent has been applied for so don't bother copying it!!!
Cheers!

No number I can find at all. Any suggestions on where to look for info? I don't know much about early plastic and I don't even know what it is! (other than the obvious, a small coat rack)

Since coat racks usually stand next to front doors could it possibly be a key holder?
