I think they are gold plated with bakelite frames. How old might they be?
-
Any marks on them? They need cleaning (or polishing)
-
1/10 -10 (probably something to do with the lens though)
-
Is that on the arm or the lens?? eye sight is measured in the the minus and plus and then the reading add.
Long distance - middle distance - short
They look 30s to me.
-
I was thinking 30's -ish too Sue.
-
The mark is on the gold frame bit in the middle where the nose goes. ;D
-
That's the bridge, TC. :) I assume the lenses are glass not plastic?
-
I've never seen plastic lenses before, this one has glass lenses though.
-
Many modern specs are plastic lenses TC - mine are as they are much lighter than glass ones. I can't find a date when they were introduced though. :(

Tony when you are measured up for specs after you have seen the optition one of the measurments that is taken is the distance between your eye's, that is probably why that is on the bridge.
