Any ideas how old this planter is please? Just bought it the other day for 50p along with a flowering plant and didn't realise the flowers were artificial? Fortunately the pot is real!

Is there a form number on the base?
-
The label dates your planter to 1970-1980, nice one. Thanks Bas (Orpheous) http://www.westgermany-ceramics-collectables.com/ (http://www.westgermany-ceramics-collectables.com/)

Many thanks Christine and Baz too ;). I omitted to say that there were no visible markings on the base.

Thank's Christine for using my website! Nice to hear of it being used. ;)
-
Thank you Bas for being here as well
-
 Christine - will write soon!
yes, thanks Bas for this info (lovely site!) - I've got a similar planter too - have stuck an african violet in it. I'm using my W. German stuff!

I've got a couple of nice planters I use for narcissusses (funny word) and hyacinths. And in a beautiful yellow roth a orchid is blooming.
-
Narcissi?
My dictionary says either is valid but Narcissi sounds better IMHO ;)
