Title: Toleware and similar folk art

The mention of the Yugoslavian folk art painting in the Cats topic reminded me of this tray. No idea what the mark says or means, but this is typical of east European folk painting.

Not my field but I think the Russians did and still do things like that, including dolls that fit inside of each other.  8)

Maybe '64' is the year as I remember that my silver Russian box had a mark like that and it indicated the year?

Good thinking TC. I wonder if there's any info about these things anywhere... I'll go google!

Are these anything then?  I do not know any age, but assuming not that old -- maybe 80's or 90's, as I guess.....and I could be wrong, as usual.  No marks on them, and one in better shape than the other...

Any info??  Thanks  ;D
