Good morning all and long time no see!
Does anyone recognize this..

Hi Aine, good to see you again. :) What unusual cups! I can't find anything about that FS backstamp anywhere, although I did find a similar letter/number sequence in a pay-to-view document about Rumanian State Standards and Pyrometric Cones! No idea if there's a connection to your cups though. ;) http://www.springerlink.com/index/K705601703V4J115.pdf

Hi Anne, can't find a connection, so far but thanks for the link :o)
-
Whoops, wrong smiley Anne. Must get act together. At once.

I wondered if the number is a standard. I found it on vase on German ebay, don't ask me how or where. However, Romania might be the answer see here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220037217856&ssPageName=MERC_VI_RSCC_Pr4_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT&refitem=320258074661&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=active_view_item&usedrule1=StoreCatToStoreCat&usedrule2=CrossSell_LogicX&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget&_trksid=p284.m184&_trkparms=algo%3DDR%26its%3DS%252BI%252BSS%26itu%3DISS%252BUCI%252BSI%26otn%3D1)
Nothing like yours but...
And here (http://www.marks4ceramics.com/SITEMAPfiles/index34.html), under importer's mark (you have to pay to go any further)

Crikey, it looks like my link might be a lead then... Wow! :cheerleader:

Thank you both, it does look like Romania, doesn't it? 50's seems likely too..
