Title: Incense burner
Post by: dreamticket on November 05, 2008, 05:34:26 PM
I am not sure if this is Chines or Japanese -It may have had a lid at some stage.
The internal pot looks like greyish stoneware.
There is no mark and would appreciated any information any one can give me.
I found it at a collectors fair and love the pierced porcelain/pottery.

I believe this type of decoration is also known as reticulated. Maybe a 'reticulated' search might help?  ;D

The inner pottery is a hard blue clay.
I think it is Japanese or Chinese following the link Tiger chips gave- but I think it must be older as the detail is finer.
Many thanks for all your input
be lucky
