Title: Canadian Vase - Cornucopia
Post by: antiquerose123 on December 15, 2008, 09:37:19 AM
I have this vase, horn of plenty I guess, or otherwise know as a cornucopia vases.  I know nothing about it except that it says *Made in Canada* with the number of #124.

Well, one would say what more would you need with all that info, but I do not know whom (company) made it, age, and if it is even a pottery -- as it appears to be ______.  If you look at the one pic, you can see that there appears to be like bubble in the material where it had been ground down.  It is not a plastic as it makes a *ting* sound.  Is it is like a resin (?) of some sort....

Anyone have any idea, or am I have a DUH moment here?  :pbag:

From that bubbly base it looks a resin. The incised marks also have raggedy edges, something I wouldn't expect in glaze or clay
