Title: Jug and Egg cup unidentified mark and design?
Post by: caterer on February 08, 2009, 04:53:23 PM
Can anyone give me any info on my jug and egg cup, both have stamped on the bottom made in england, but the jug also has what looks like D spencer 17, but this may be wrong.

Hi, the decoration around the rim reminds me of Honiton pottery.

Gee, I am confused on that.

Wonder if anyone else has an idea.  All I could find (if) it says spencer was Marks & Spencer pottery but that company looks newer than yours...

????

Hi

I think 'made in england'  rather than just 'england' suggests 1900 onwards if that helps so possibly a company still in existance or recently closed down.

sorry can't be of further help but will keep my eye open

Regards
Mark
