Post by: MMorris on February 12, 2009, 10:20:41 PM
Nice......  :)just found this in a local charity shop today (50p). A lovely little bowl by Robert Fournier. Can't seem to find much of his work for sale but his obituary in the independent was very interesting...... :-\

Best Wishes Mark

What an interesting shape Mark and a bargain at that price too!

I'm adding the obituary links here in case anyone else wants to read them too:

Thanks Martyn,

I came up with Robert Fournier as it looked like his mark but I stand corrected. Baa! I thought it was too good to be true  :boohoo: (I'll keep my mouth shut in future until I know if what I am saying is right.

Regards Mark

Her work is highly regarded, you've still got a bargain, a good investment and a nice bowl.

Thanks Martyn - I'm afraid I have a gulity secret though. Ive decided to sell it with some other studio pottery as my house is becoming taken over by pottery and I need to do some pruning ( Is this common once you get interested in pottery?) Also, I'm not sure how yourself/others feel about selling pots you have found. Have I broken any unspoken forum rules   :o?
 :x-fingers: :bad:
Regards
Mark

Don't feel guilty, some of us buy some things to sell and others to keep. All collections need pruning occasionally; sometimes you run out of room, other times your tastes change.

There are no unspoken rules

Thanks Anne - I might try that when I'm feeling brave. (I'm not much of a computer whizz & my 13 year old son has to help me most times)

Best Wishes Mark

Sounds familiar, but I am getting better  :comp: This board will help you WITH anything.  Most accommodating, friendliness  board I have seen.  I could not post a pix, or url shortening code, and now look at me  ;D Thanks to all their help here.  Feel brave, and if not -- just ask....  :kissy:
