Title: Elisabeth Anne Bailey
Post by: ChimpMad on February 22, 2009, 02:02:56 AM
With my interest in anthropolgy I am fascinated by the cave cave paintings in such places as Lascoux, France among others, so I was delighted to find this Plate by Elisabeth Anne Bailey which, whether by accident or design, is so reminicent of that early art form, The potter  is currently based in York and more details and examples of her work can  be seen on http://www.brigantia.co.uk/members-pages/elizabeth-bailey.htm and http://www.craft-fair.co.uk/exhibitors.cfm?SubCatno=22 , I promise I'm not on commision but a skilled potter deserves credit where it's due.

Plugging working potters isn't a problem for us - we're happy to support them and help keep them going if we can. 8)

Now that plate I really *do* like!

Thanks Anne, I'm glad you like it. It's one of four of her pieces that I have, theres another plate with a single horse on and two mugs, one with geese and the other with ducks. Photos will follow when I have time.
