Title: M K Lee signature on pot
Post by: jomo99 on March 09, 2009, 07:07:03 PM
Hi Everyone!

Another one thats a mystery to me, despite my Googling! I have a Lidded Pot 3 & 1/2 inches with lid 2 & 3/4 without, 4 & 1/2 at its widest. on the underside it is signed 'M K Lee'  and about 1/2 inch below this is the number 4, I have tried to take photos of the underside this however is hampered by 2 problems, firstly thhe glaze underneath makes it nigh on impossible to see with the naked eye, its only when you turn it certain ways in the light is it just barely discernable, secondly I am having to use my fone camera!!!! Has anyone any info on this Potter/Artist please?

        Thanks in advance,

        John

John, do you have a scanner? If so, stand the pot on the scanner bed and scan the base - it should pick up the marks quite well for you - then you can crop the image down a little and add it to the query. Works well for many flat-bottomed items. ;)

Nope! Sorry Anne, no printer/scanner either! must say its very frustrating, I have a very good camera, but my ex won't let me have my property back, she's moved and I don't know where she is!

That's a bummer for you John. :( Let's see if we can track down a likely candidate for your M K Lee then...
