Title: A fine russian Bear.
Post by: miket on March 14, 2009, 06:37:09 PM
Hi all this is my first post so please be gental with me. My name is Mike, and this has been bugging me for ages. It was a wedding gift for my mom and dad, they married in 1952. It has been my favourite since I was a kid I used to play with it as a youngster!. Watching stuff like Antiques road show and other programmes of the like, well it started me searching for more information on this Lovely Russian Bear. All to no avail,so far. I am not interested in selling it, but I would love to know if the person who made it is still around. Because I would love to thank the Artist for the years of pleasure it has provided my mom dad and myself. Waiting with quiet anticipation.

I don't know who its by but looks a nice piece. Anything Russian with a bit of age is desireable at the moment and will probably become more so.

Best Wishes &
Regards
Mark

I've searched through my Lang and can't find this mark there ... that's both the old edition and the revised edition (as acquired today!)  I love the bear though... we need Sue C and her terrier search skills back (she's had a total PC failure so that's partly why she hasn't been around.)
