A great piece really nice very fine painted no makers mark on it alas, Does anyone know who may have done this???

They are lovely, they remind me of my Royal Worcester blue tits.
I've no idea who made these though.

Thanks tigerchips is it conceivable they might not of marked the item? By the way the base has a hole in i take it the royal worcester may not though if they are marked.Do they seem as a fair quality copy maybe?? :good:

It's odd to see no mark on it. These kind of ornaments usually have holes in them so they can breath in the Kiln. The fact that the leg is separate from the rest of the ornament suggests to me that it's by a good manufacturer. I'm guessing it has a perfectly round hole on the base. Is it new or old? A picture of the base might help please.

Hard to tell about age its in such nice condition weeve had it ten years, bought it in a house clearance of a bereavement, Wouldnt have thought it is modern. Hope the base is clear.

I was never any good at dating birds. ;)
One of them is a blue tit, not sure what the other one is, maybe some kind of Finch?
I could be way off the mark here but maybe it's German, somewhere along the lines of KPM, etc...

Hi Everyone, Tony gave me a nudge to see what I could add. I certainly think it is German. Possibly Goebel or Cortendorf, the colours are not English colours. I would date it to around the 1950s.
It is unusual to see no marks, but some of the marks are easily washed off the bisque, they would have been transfers applied after firing.
Sorry not to be more emphatic :(
