Title: Unknown Brown Vase
Post by: antiquerose123 on May 17, 2009, 06:06:27 AM
Bought this for .50 cents.  It is not marked, and have no idea on it.  I just thought it had sort of a southwestern flair to it (Mexican or Native) to it.  With no signature, or mark that I can see -- any ideas at all.....or feelings that it might be that ??

Another Mexican piece. These are quite common and often have a matching tumbler that may be set on the top like a lid. At least you didn't pay too much for it.

Interesting how the Mexican pottery migrates so far north to Canada. Thanks for sharing your info about these pieces Calusa, we need someone with expertise in these areas as we know very little about them as yet.

Given the number of people that fly down to Mexico to get away from our cold weather, it's not that surprising at all.  :jstr:
