Title: Is This Hummel?

Hi Ho!

             Can anyone tell me if this piece is possibly Hummel? It has that kind of look to it however the only mark to the base is the word 'FOREIGN'  on the rim.

Hi ho John ;D That's really sweet :bny:  I've had a look in my Miller's Collectables book section on Hummel.  It says that all Hummel pieces bear the impressed Hummel name i.e. 'M.I. Hummel' along with a number to indicate the mould or shape number, date plus backstamp.  May be someone knows of another company making similar figurines?

And I don't think that they have the characteristic Hummel faces.

Those eyelashes remind me of the 1950s/60s Japanese stuff

Ho Hum!!! Ahhh well no fortune for me then (again!!!!LOL) Thanks every1 for your contributions, very much appreciated. I'll still keep sorting through those boxes of stuff mum left me 14 years ago, i'll get it all done one day!!!
