Title: Carbone Rooster Covered Dish? Any help is much appreciated!
Post by: nera10 on February 01, 2010, 11:50:06 PM
Hi All!

My father brought home a large covered dish from a thrift store - I think it's a caserole dish - ovenware perhaps?

The dish itself is pure white with a basket weave pattern and handles.  The cover is a beautifully done Rooster, also white except for his beak and top crest.

The bottom is stamped Carbone Made in the USA.

I haved searched high and low for information on this piece and this "Carbone" company.

Anyone out there have any knowledge to share? Thanks so much!  :)
