I though this charger might be Poole although it's not marked at all. It looks a bit like it could be part of the Eclipse range. It's 16 inches diameter so quite big. Any ideas?

I can see what you mean....
Just for others to see why it looks (kinda) like Poole -- here is a link:

Does Poole always mark theirs, or not.....not sure??

Size almost matches the Poole large plaque size TC - is given as 42cm, which is a shade over 16.5 inches - but the Eclipse which is on eBay at the moment http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250566429742 has a white base, so I'm not sure. I wonder if it might be one they made for someone else, or a copy?
Alan Clarke, who designed Eclipse for Poole, now has his own studio and still does 42cm plaques too: http://www.ukartpottery.com/alan-clarke-studio-ex-poole-3574-0.html

I think Poole always marks there pieces. I have come by pieces of Aegean with a black backstamp which was extremely difficult to see because it had merged into the colour that was on the base. So it's not entirely possible that the stamp could disappear if it was very faint.
Good point about the white base, we can probably move away from it being part of the Eclipse range. The Aegean range does have this style of base sometimes, usually with an impressed number and the Poole mark.
I just found this company called Tradpots with a range called Sunset...

It doesn't feel like my charger is new though.

Why not email Alan Clarke with a photo or two TC and ask if it's one of his?

lol.....when in doubt.....why not ask?
