Title: When was the first electric kettle????

Had this for some time,no marks,and didn't buy it when new,honest I'm not that old! you wouldn't want to use it as it looks like someone kept paint in it!

First one - made in 1891.

Nothing on the bottom -- or (maybe) around the edging??  Or the inside of the lid??

Copper things are a good collectible....I guess must be with the price of copper.  ;)

I'll have another look for marks,might need a bit of a clean first,
