Title: Sylvac Scardy Cat
Post by: mypandora on June 18, 2010, 11:25:18 AM
:hlp: I have this small version of a Sylvac scardy cat, there are no marks on the bottom which makes me suspicious. I wonder if anyone can tell me if there have been pieces made without makers marks?

According to Vicky Hooper writing in Collect It issue July 2010, some Sylvac pieces are not marked. I think TC has a book of Sylvac patterns so he may be able to check it for you when he's next on the board.

How big is it. Could it be Wade? (Think Red Rose Tea, Rose)

I can only find two versions of the frightened cat. No 1046 should be about 6 inches high, and No 1313 should be about 16 inches high.

:gcheer: there, just to add my pics here.....

I think I found my first SylvaC Scardy Cat too.  He is *sweet*.  He is not very big -- only about 3 inches tall to the top of his tail.  He has no marks on him either, but looks to be the scardy cat that was talked about here.  I paid $2 for him, and with Halloween around the corner, I could not pass him by.

Thanks!
