Hi, i have a record book with values but can't seem to find this demonstration one. The normal Alien one has a price guide value of ?20. It's an LP from the original film soundtrack. I can't tell you the record number because it's sealed with it's original wrapper.
On one of the corners it has "Not For Sale Demonstration". I would like to know the value of this one. I could be wrong but I presume that because it's a demonstration it will be worth a lot more?

Hmmm interesting TC. There's a listing of Alien recordings here: http://www.alienlegend.com/Alien/Music/index.htm but no mention of the demonstration version. I think they were the ones sent out to radio stations and critics etc... which sometimes had shortened versions of the tracks on them I believe. Apparently the CD version released within the last few years has some of the demo tracks on it too: http://www.jerrygoldsmithonline.com/alien_review.htm
It might be worth asking on this forum if anyone can help with your version: http://www.jerrygoldsmithonline.com/forum/
Let us know how you get on.

Yup, I have some old, old records here that say *Demo* on them, and some that state "Only for Air Play"...These are from the 40's/50's/60's era. Usually they (I think) were the ones that went to the Radio station.
