Post by: lmj on October 01, 2010, 07:32:40 PM
Hi can anyone ID these glasses, they have a stamped base the lettering starts with an M and the picture is a arm and hand holding a dagger,i have trawled the usual books but haven't seen the stamp. The cups are very thin and fragile with a gold inner 4cm high 6cm across the cup they also have an under glaze imprint of No 53...Lynn

I know a company using an arm and a dagger as a mark. The company name is "Elbogen".

Might be worth a look...

Hi there:
Can you get a closer pic?  Does your camera have a close-up (Flower) icon on it for close ups?

Hard to see it.

Does it look like this at all?

....also, Silly question here -- but you say the lettering starts with a *M* or could that be a *W* ??

Hi,the arm and hand are naked and the dagger is wide and unpointed, and it could be a W not a M...thanks for the interest and i will try to get a better pic... lynn
