Title: Royal Albert - Kentish Rockery (HQM - Queen Mary)
Post by: antiquerose123 on October 18, 2010, 09:10:00 AM
Hi -- thought I would post some of these Royal Albert items that I have.  Do not have the whole set, but some.  I like these, and they were my Dad's Mom dishes.  On the back they do say:  "In appreciation of her Majesty Queen Mary."

Any more special (??) with that on the back?

When I did a search here, I was surprised that we do not have that much Royal Albert....as I thought everyone HAD some Royal Albert... ;D ;)

Thanks :kissy:

Hey, I do not even see that large scalloped serving dish on there like the one that I have here.  Maybe......   :*: :*:

This is one of my favourite RA patterns Rose, I have a couple of plates as you spotted in the Gallery http://www.yobunny.com/pottery/Gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-417

Over here we see more Old Country Roses than any other RA pattern - but the Kentish Rockery is, to my eye, a much prettier pattern.

BTW the backstamp actually says "As supplied to Her Majesty Queen Mary" so she obviously liked the pattern too. We're in good company Rose!  :kissy:

I would venture to say that Old Country Roses is ubiquitous!    It's everywhere here.

Yes, I like the Kentish rockery way better as well.
