Title: Small Pitcher marked Japan

Hi there:
here is a small decorative pitcher that has a silver/Blue foil on it from Gift-Craft (or Giftcraft as it is shown as one word on Label) Toronto....but I would like to know about the other mark that is like a X (sideways), or lines crossed -- then above it -- it says Japan.

Anyone know these marks?  Or a Date/maker?
