Title: CARVED LION HEAD

Hi i have had this for some time now it is carved out of one piece of oak .There are no nail holes just one hole for a peg to hold it in place. I think it is off a piece of furniture or off a bilding . Height 275.mm Width 85,mm depth56,mm  .I guessit to be 18th century if not earlyer?

What a curious thing Robert! I'd say off a piece of furniture too but I have no idea what!
