Must be...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Simpson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Simpson)

I had never heard of him as I am over in Canada. Maybe some of the others here (UK) will know more about those wares, and I am sure they will *pop* in -- in the coming days...even with the Holiday..

Thank you.

Goodlife Neale seem to produce a lot of souvenir ware. I was at the Preston Guild in 1992 and there were quite a few souvenirs like this on sale.
The Preston Guild is held every 20 years - the next one will be in 2012. http://www.prestonguild2012.com/ explains what the Guild is for those who have never heard of it: "Preston Guild 2012 will mark 833 years since King Henry initially granted a ?Guild Merchant? to Preston [in 1179] and it will be the 23rd Guild since the decree[in 1542] to hold a celebration every 20 years was made."
This 20 year gap is why when something happens rarely Lancashire folk say, "that only happens once every Preston Guild." :bny:

Thank you, much appreciated. Everyone one here seems to be a fountain of knowledge.
