Title: Austrian/German Pottery Bowl?
Post by: cookiebella on August 10, 2011, 06:39:05 PM
another piece I purchased recently from my local auction.  I mention Austrian as there was an awfully lot of austrian stuff down there.  It's a stunning bowl and when you hold it up and tap it, it has a beautiful deep chink to, as does crystal when you tap it, although not quite the same pitch  ;D.  Austrian/German ??

If not Carstens (they usually mark their wares with the Carstens house) then I would plump for a German factory either Jasba or Uebelacker with my preference for the former

oooooooooo after a little research I found this on the net which is very similar to what I have by Jasba, although as soon as I click onto the site it has obviously been hacked into and takes me into some obscure video site, just managed to copy and save image before it did it again lol
