Title: Val Marshall - raku and saggar pottery
Post by: Anne on October 04, 2011, 05:36:21 PM
Val came to the CraftMarket I organised last weekend, she is such a delightful lady and it was lovely to chat to her and see all her lovely pottery (a piece of which came home with me! :cheerleader:)

And some closeups... the last thumbnail below is the pot I bought.

Oooh, very nice buy indeed!  It looks very tactile with a lovely surface texture.

Some gorgeous colours - in particular the purpley range.

They really are gorgeous Anne. The pics never seem to do these things justice somehow.  :boohoo:

Val does some of the Pot Fairs so some folks may see her out and about.  :x-fingers:

Sad to say that, at the grand age of 80, and having moved to a smaller house, Val has packed up her kiln and is no longer potting. I did manage to buy one of her few remaining pieces at this year's CraftMarket though. (Pics show both sides of the same pot.)
