Hi All!
I came across this small Coalport Vase, and as it was so cheap, decided to take a punt. However all my internet searches have proven fruitless, apart from the fact that the Mark was used by the factory between 1881 and 1937. It stands 4.25 inches high and is painted with different scenes of Butterfies and Flowers on each side. The sides and pedestal are Gold painted.
I have been made a (rather low) offer by a dealer I know, so any help with ID'ing this piece would be much appreciated (especially Value!)
TIA for any help you can give.
Warmest Wishes,
John

John, what a pretty little vase that is. I've never seen the like... can you add a closeup of the marks on the base please?
-
Hi Anne! ;D
Haven't been around too much, either here or the GMB, cos I'm at College studying!!!
As requested, pics of marks to base!
Warmest Wishes,
John
p.s I've been informed that this mark dates between 1881 and 1891, after 1891 the word 'ENGLAND' was included. Can anyone confirm/Refute?
-
Hello John, can only confirm your dates, know very little about English porcelain and have only a couple of books with marks,
Keith.

Ideas/Suggestions anyone? or can anyone point me in the direction of books/catalogues that may help please!!
