Well done Keith ;)
I had a google at African masks but there were so many different styles depending on where they came from or for what ceremonies etc. they were used for.  I did find this website, which I think is designed for school children ???  but it does show different designs and where they originate from. http://www.artyfactory.com/africanmasks/design/design.htm   It might be of use some other time.
I would never have guessed yours were Himalayan.
I don't think I could live with one on display.  They're a bit creepy  :o ;D
