Thumbs up to the person who ID's it. :24:
I swear that i posted this before somewhere, i remember someone saying it was a symbol of adolescence or something.

Done a bit of 'handy' googling and it's called the 'fig' sign, considered a good luck sign in some places in others obscene. In ancient Greece it was the sign of fertility and in Portugal and Brazil carved hands like this are good luck charms, somewhere to start, hope I've given you a hand :thd: :czy: :24:

Thanks Keith, knowing my luck it's probably something obscene. Oh, by the way, it was 'second hand' and did not cost an 'arm and a leg'. :24:
-
'Woodn't' think it was obscene,it looks 'armless to me :thd: :24:

Don't recall seeing it before TC... and I'll pass on the wood jokes cos by brain's not up to them atm... :)

No problems, i don't think it's very old, probably a souvenir or something.

Interesting. Here in Poland, we use that sign to mean 'fig' i.e. 'nothing'.

Hello Anik,we say here " I don't give a fig" meaning I don't care,wonder where that comes from?
