Any idea on this please? I don't know what to call it. Is it a pot? It reminds me of this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290682470414?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 although missing some pieces. It's completely unmarked. Thanks

I was just tidying up my pics and had one of this unknown object I was about to post, forgetting I'd already posted it! I see it's from a year ago but no responses :(
any ideas?
thanks

It does make me think of Sylvac, Julie. I think these were used for growing bulbs such as hyacinths on... I was going to point you towards this great website I found... then I realised it's probably your own site! :) http://www.gardenwithindoors.org.uk/blog?page=4

Yes, that is one of my sites :)
I do wonder if it's for bulbs, although I didn't have much luck with it this year as I put some tete-a-tete daffs in it and they didn't bloom. I'm intrigued about the opening in the middle with the ledge which looks like something went in there (not just a bulb).
thanks

I wonder if it could be a space for a container or a tube-type thing, perhaps for flowers amongst the bulbs?
