Title: Trying to ID maker, to be honest not exactly sure what its suppose to be..lol
Post by: Jonshearer23 on October 24, 2012, 07:59:11 AM
Thought this was very unique little piece, when I first picked it up I thought it was a salt/pepper shaker by the shape but the only holes on it are the one on the bottom. You can see a seam starting to show all the way around, so im guess it was some kind of mold. I'm not exactly what its suppose to be, thought maybe a nun, kinda of asian looking face. But havent seen anything similar in my searchs. I also didnt get anywhere with the makers mark on the bottom. Anyone have any ideas.

Could it be an scrolled E in there?  then the other thing looks like an anchor mark with a heart ?? at the end??

Could we get a real close up (or close cropped) pic of just the mark.

Thanks

Had a good look around and it seems 'flower' marks on pottery and porcelain were and still are common, you could try the 'Asian Art forum' here are some other flower marks I found... ;D ;D
