Title: Chinese soapstone carving.

12 by 6 inches, well carved, not sure what the wood is, does anyone think it could be late 19th early 20th ?  ;D

It does a bit, wonder what it sold for, bet it was a lot more than what I paid !  ;D ;D

Is it solid piece of timber, or could it be made up of bamboo strips?

That's similar, not been looking for things like this recently, running out of space and sticking, well trying  ;D to local glass  ;D ;D
