Title: Large salt pig

These are not marked in any way, so I'm stuck. Height around 9", base diameter around 5". Any suggestions as to maker please?

Hmmm..... not much to go on Anne, but I'm game....

From the pictures, it looks modern, moulded and maybe fairly mass-produced, rather than a thrown, studio piece.

I did find another one here, also unattributed.

Have you considered Shelf Studio Halifax?  It's a long shot though.

Thanks Cat, I've seen others of these around and they are alleged to date from 1980's-ish, but none of them are marked, labelled or back-stamped. A local dealer who has one in her stock suggested they might be Wetheriggs Pottery (in Cumbria - but now closed down), another pottery collector suggested it might be Grayshott Pottery, whilst a third suggested they might be early John Kershaw.  So, we are all as puzzled as each other on these Cat!
