Hi, I bought a small vase on ebay was sold to me as wade, but it does not have the usual wade stamp on the base, it is just a few letters which I cannot make out.
The vase is about 6cm tall, and brown and cream.
Picture attached, any help appreciated.
Thanks

I shall take a pic tonight when I get home and post it tommorrow.

I have never seen this style of pottery from Wade. I agree that I think it is a tourist place from (insert anywhere warm - probably Mediterranean)

::)
My vote is Mediterranean tourist stuff. Used to get loads of it in charity shops - still do. Even complete coffee sets. I rather prefer the blue stuff to the brown though.
Decidedly not Wade!

Maybe Hungarian but ive seen (and watched them make) this very pattern and colour in former Yugoslavia (now Croatia) It was a tourist version of their craft pottery. Sorry not Wade.

Now there's a coincidence.....packed away in one of my boxes is a pot with the exact same decoration and it is definately from Cyprus.
I love this site, it brings back so many memories....what an island
'nuff said :notme: ;D :blush:

Here's my piece of Cyprus pottery, not exactly the same as I thought, but it has been boxed away for a few years and my memory's not as it once was! The body is a dark terracotta and this piece is unsigned, but the base is the same as Kays piece.
