Title: Help ID vase and signature

 :) I have this vase.  I just love the look, the colors, the design of it, and whole style of it.  It has a name on the bottom with what looks like either:  A. HOUK , or A. HOOK  ....

The third letter looks like either an "O", or because it is not fully closed, it could be an "U" ?  Any ideas?  I even thought maybe it was home-made.....but then it jut seems a *little* too good for that ?     :hlp:

I got excited (but only for a moment).....found a Phyllis S. Houk  http://www.vasefinder.com/pw/hhhartists/houk.phyllis.s.html   My piece says A. Houk.  Maybe they are related...you never know.  Pottery from the (United) States, could easily get to Canada....right

That is a wonderful site when you only with initials.....but they need more photos in it  :-\
