Me again--another piece that I found very alluring---a dry matte color, combo color of aquas and brown and scratched design on the walls, it is a pale colored clay. , almost yellowish at the base, where unglazed. Again--thanks for all who might shine a light of knowledge, on this item. It measures approx 9 by 6 and is thick walled, and uneven in shape, purposely. It is stamped with a round stamp imprint of Made in Holland, and inside the circle are symbols that resemble two chairs, almost,.......also number stamped 205 or 225 Sorta reminds me of Ikebana Japanese pottery i've seen, it is quite unique. Thanks all.......goldcountry describes my "neck of the woods",--I live close to where gold was discovered in the 1800s, that started the gold rush.

Hi Laurie,
I think that your vase is by Pieter Groeneveldt. You will be able to tell if your mark is the same as the one pictured here: http://www.plateel.nl/index.html?lang=en-gb
I can not make out if they are the same, or not.

Della--you are a gem! I'm very excited, as you directed me right to it. I thought it had that floral/oriental feel, and it is just as described and attributed to this designer. Thanks very much--!

Thanks Kev--I got a VERY fast tip, from Della, and was perplexed cause I could not figure out how to post back w/thanks....getting the feel for navigating--what a treat to have the mystery solved!! --i love learning--just have no time for gadding about to bookstores, perusing numeous google searches, etc. I'm near Coloma CA. Toen of Newcastle, which is at the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range. bye for now. Laurie
Hi Goldcountry, this sounds strange, dust the base with some talcum powder and re-take base photos as this will help bring th emark out a little...
So you are in California or Nevada? Kev
