Post by: Lustrousstone on November 10, 2007, 05:49:47 PM
Another one I didn't buy (at ?12.50). No easily discernible markings on the back - covered in B/W glaze These "I didn't buy thems" are for my eddication, if that's OK

Couldn't see the base clay, the B/W glaze was everywhere top and bottom including the little feet.

No. It's somewhere we only go occasionally and not somewhere we pass. Unless you really want me to go and buy it. in which case...

The picture is a flat glaze that seemed to be flush with the B/W glaze, not something stuck on after

It's signed Jay or Joy or Jey or Tey, Tay or Toy and there is a mark on the back that could be Italy or a 4 digit number

The glaze appears to be sprayed-on white over black with a mask over the lady all on white clay. The white stands slightly proud of the lady. It appears that the white clumps in contact with the black or maybe on firing.

Better pictures but I still can't make out or photograph the back stamp
