Title: Nice big studio jug with funny looking mark, any ideas?
Post by: Tigerchips on July 31, 2007, 10:59:10 PM: I have this very large studio pottery jug. The mark is not very clear, which is a shame as it seems nicely made, nice quality and all.

Can anyone help please?

It's 10 inches high, I think the width of it makes it look bigger.

The decoration reminds me of Bulrush plants.

The style and the colouring. We have a lot of smaller artist galleries here that make their own pottery. You can go in and buy whole matching dinnersets, cups, plates etc. It was super popular here in the early 90's. Its dropped off a bit, but you still have the galleries that sell etc. I dont think there's much like that on ebay, but if I see something I'll show you.
