Title: Bernard Leach style mug
Post by: Tigerchips on November 18, 2007, 01:54:23 PM
I'm sure it's not Bernard Leach and if it is it will be something he did later on in his life. Hold on please while I find the photo of the base mark....

I thought not.

He did make that kind of shaped mug though didn't he? I saw a BL mug in a Millers book once and the shape was almost the same, although that one didn't have the prunt like marks on the side or the bright colours like mine.

I dont have any of the Millers, but yes the shape is OK, the glazes, prunts and handle are'nt right though. I do like it more each time I look at it though, it has an Irish kinda feel....
