I'd hazard a guess at Lochgilphead, a Scottish pottery that produced a lot of these naive-looking cats.

Is that Collaig at Lochgilphead rather than Highbank at Lochgilphead or even a different pottery? (Seems to be a few round there - I'm confused!!! and I've been there and I don't remember seeing any of them )

Some Collaig pics here: http://www.lunga.com/html/collaig.html

Kinda Reminds me of the idea (http://cgi.ebay.ie/Studio-Pottery-Vintage-Retro-Cat-with-Goldfish-Seaweed_W0QQitemZ370160094808QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_PotteryPorcelain_Glass_PotteryPorcelain_China_SM?hash=item370160094808&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1294|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318)

If you mix up all these examples here, that it what I am thinking, lol.

The smoooth design (http://www.cyberattic.com/stores/thehappywanderer/items/459829/item459829cyberattic.html) and This Idea (http://www.cyberattic.com/stores/thehappywanderer/items/406375/item406375cyberattic.html) and the Nesting idea/look (http://www.cyberattic.com/stores/thehappywanderer/items/405169/item405169cyberattic.html) and This example (http://www.cyberattic.com/stores/thehappywanderer/items/389514/item389514cyberattic.html) = (maybe) nothing more than Russian Folk Art with a sort of majolica technique(??)
To make a long story longer.... :thd:
