Title: Italian Schiavon wall plates

Very pretty set of 3? wall plates/plaques
Base marked Schiavon and a little tree!
Anyone amymore info on them?

Thanks Sue,
The town sheild on that page, shows a dome in one corner, very simular to the one on the plaques, so could be a depiction of the town from different aspects.

Hum, may have to go there and have a look!

I've got 4 or 5 of these wall plaques. I saw one on ebay which I think sold for around ?20.

Tried Forests link earlier and all it came up with was a large vase, nothing about the plates/plaques...whatever.
Do you have a photo of yours?

They are fantastic, they look bigger than ours.
Ours are about 3 inches x 6 inches. And yours are much brighter coloured.
I have never seen these before and now I know of 8 of them. None of ours have Italy on them, all the same Schiavon and the little tree.

Your's are bigger, my house ones are 3.75 x 2.50 inches. The fish one is 4.75 x 3 inches.

While looking into Schiavon i have come across some  stunning pottery, and it occured to me that this is a mostly uncovered area, take a look at this site for instance http://www.lucaschiavon.it/intro.htm blood gorgeous stuff, but that is my opinion.
