Hi I have (3, yes three of these) Stay Puft Marshmallow Men (edited by Moderator - not Michelin Man). Ohhhh, I can not even think of his name right now...must be TOO tired. It says 1984 Columbia Pictures on foot, as you can see.
I collected the three (all the same) because (I thought) this little guy is for (a) advertising, (b) used as a toy, (c) a bit different figural item, (d) Motion pictures related
I think those are good enough reasons... :clap2:

Also called the Marshmallow man.

My son's favourite film Ghost Busters http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stay_Puft_Marshmallow_Man

Yep, Ghostbusters for sure, but he also reminds me of the 'Dough Boy' advertising figure for a range of pre-made doughs in twist-to open cardboard tubes made by Pilsbury Dough. If memory serves me correctly, they caused a great deal of consternation because if they were left in a hot environment for too long, such as in a car on a hot day, the dough would swell causing the tube to explode under the pressure (or was this one of those cursed urban myths?). Either way, production stopped in the mid '80s.
