K P B = Kensington Pottery Ltd, Staffs.  - the B stands for Burslem apparently, and the mark is from after 1937. See  here for a summary of the works: http://www.thepotteries.org/allpotters/626.htm

You will have seen a similar Staffordshire knot mark on typical cottage ware (http://www.thecottagewareshop.com/catalog/), Price Kensington - Price Bros and Kensington Pottery were combined in 1962.

I know Cottage Ware has its fans but I think the lupins are much nicer
