Title: Form or glaze?

My completely unscientific survey of ebay WGP sales suggests that it's the glaze that attracts the buyers (especially anything red). However, I'm a form fan and am drawn to a beautiful form design with an ordinary glaze much more than vice-versa. Any views? No fence sitting please!

I am always drawn to a bright,vibrant glaze,most of the pottery conversation here is fat lava and i have a 1960s Poole pottery collection that is completely out of control!
I think it's true to say that Glaze is the crowd pleaser and form is more for the connoisseur as it takes a little thought to appreciate sometimes.

For me it's the shape first, then the glaze.    I do really like some of the gorgeous red ones, but often fall for the more subtle glazes.

For me I am afraid it can be either, form or glaze. Picking up on Kev's line about Cari Zalloni, plain single colour glaze but excellent form and then Roth or ES with their glazes. Sorry to be a fence sitter but I can't go on either side. Sometimes it can be a bit of both, with the likes of Jasba N602s mostly seen with orange or blue but every now and then a wild side takes over and they came up with a thick heavy lava glaze.
