I Just checked Westerwalt on ebay, spot on! there are lots of great pieces for sale from German ebayers.I think my partner will be spending lots of money on pottery soon.
Another interest of mine is Bartman pots,i just love the saltglaze on some of them, especially the leopard saltglaze but ,as yet, i have not managed to lay my hands on any.

This Bellarmine is more illusive than i thought.
-
I just realised, this pot that my better half bought last month is also Westerwald
-
I think that mark is for Simon Peter Gerz
I have a tankard by him and it's, er, rude. :-[

Hi Guys
My wife and I went to Raglan today a small town on the coast, some sunshine and sea air.
In a Antiques and Collectables I found this nice little jug it is 15cm high and I was sure I had seen this backstamp take a look at photos, have I got it right, is it for Simon Peter Gerz?
-
Found this on a site link that Lynne put up on another topic
http://www.titusomega.com/Object%20Profile%20and%20Photos/CERAMICS/peter-behrens-flagon.htm
also this one
http://www.titusomega.com/Object%20Profile%20and%20Photos/CERAMICS/Behrens_biscuit_barrel.htm
As you can see both these pieces have the Simon Peter Gerz mark, so who is Peter Berhrens.
What about those prices!!! . I have found another piece of Gerz which I will post later, need to sort photos.

Hi Guys
Thank you for your replys.
I bought this off a NZ internet auction as the seller did not know what it is was but thought it might be German with a discription of the back stamp, .
"the mark on the base is a triangle with what looks like a stien in the centre and the no. 150"
This is why I bought it
The decoration reminds me of the seed pods from the flower called Honesty
