Hi, can someone help me, as I do not know that much about teacups/saucers and I seem to be having some problems locating dates for these......in order to value them. I guess a pic helps, eh? Doh..
GLADSTONE
FINE BONE CHINA
STAFFORDSHIRE ENGLAND
Since 1870
I was thinking of putting (maybe) these in with my Garage sale stuff to sell this summer, so might as well start figuring it out....
If these marks are not in the gallery, I will add - but I need help for info (dates) with them first....lol

According to Millers, variations of this mark was used by Gladstone China (1939-1970).
There is no mention of a Thomas Poole in the book but the date on your cup matches the date this company was founded. It's porobably the same company.

Millers is a little off target; Gladstone China (Longton) Ltd operated from 1939 to 1952. It became Gladstone China (and the proprietors were Thos. Poole & Gladstone China Ltd) in 1952 and operated till 1970. This mark was used from 1961 to 1970

No, just me getting my facts wrong...
Gladstone China (Longton)
Gladstone China (Longton) Ltd
Why did I not spot the two different companies? :24:
