Hi, I got this, and have no idea of it. It is quite large, and has the number 292 marked on the base. The other things are just felt things...
-
Hiya Rose :kissy: i would probably guess German.
-
Are those toadstools I can see on the side Rose?
-
I would probably have gone for N American rather than German
-
Yup, toadstools - mushrooms ( not magic ones though).....lol >:D
I do not know where to look with *only* a number... :-\ (if anything at all...)

Hello Rose, being new to this site I'm enjoying looking through the old posts, and I hope that the little knowledge I have can help solve some old mysteries, such as this one!
I used to have a very similar sugar bowl and cream jug in the identical colourway. Neither were marked by the maker but one had the original label on. They were from a Canadian pottery but for the life of me I cannot remember the name. I think that it was something like 'Valaris' or 'Valarus' but don't quote me on that. I'll dig through my older files when I get a chance, hopefully I will have listed them somewhere.
-
Or more possibly Vangelis, I'm sure that was the name.
-
I've found it! The Canadian pottery was called Vangeline.
-
Ahhhh would that be Evangeline Pottery? <said she after googling>
-
Phew, got there in the end
Only question now is, is your piece Evangeline or did I lead you down a blind alley?
-
The trouble with a lot of this Canadian drip ware is that the glazes are very similar, which means it's hard to tell unless there's a mark or a label and there were/are quite a lot of potteries
