Title: Semi-matt finish vase, marked Sena/Sema/Sewa/Senia?
Post by: catshome on February 02, 2020, 07:08:03 PM
First post to this board and very impressed with the emoji selection!

The finish on this vase is similar to that of some Poole pottery pieces.  At first look, it shouldn't be as much of a challenge as it has been.  I have found pieces described as Sena, Sema, Sewa and Senia, but no further information about any of them.  The "horn" symbol also appears fairly distinctive, but hasn't helped.

This ebay listing has an incised Sena, and the seller refers to a possible attribution to "M.Sena", but I have been unable to find out about M.Sena.

The attribution on this one is "I.Senia" but, again, I have no information about the maker.  It does have the same shape as my piece.

Any ideas much appreciated.
